How we dress at Danum
It is our aim that all pupils and students should be tidy and care for their appearance. At all times exaggerated styles, casual wear and extremes of fashion are to be avoided. We do expect all students to wear our full uniform.
School Uniform
· The school’s uniform policy is designed to encourage a purposeful and effective climate for learning.
· It is expected that all 11-16 students wear full uniform at all times, unless directed otherwise by staff.
· All students should be smart and take pride in their appearance, dressed appropriately within the ethos of a formal academic working environment.
· All students should be aware that they represent the school, its ethos and its image, when wearing the school uniform – both in and out of school.
· Students should arrive and leave the school wearing the uniform within the expectations outlined below.
Girls: Black trousers or skirt.
White shirt with collar.
Boys : Black trousers.
White shirt with collar.
Girls and Boys: Danum School Technology College sweatshirt or V-neck jumper with Danum Motif. School tie. Black shoes.
Headwear: Headwear is not allowed in the building except for religious, cultural or medical reasons. In such cases, this must be agreed on an individual basis between the parents and the school.

PE and Games
At Danum School students in key stage 3 wear a standard kit for Physical education lessons, which is also used for any other sporting activity related to the school, as part of the governments initiative to increase physical activity in children we do encourage your child to take part in as much sport and activity in school as possible.

The compulsory kit required is a Navy blue polo T shirt or a Navy blue football shirt both of which have a Danum logo embroidered on, this can only be purchased from:

Prices of the kit vary depending on size but a guide is below, please remember only the Polo T shirt or the football Shirt are compulsory items.

Intersport will hold a selection of stock but if the item or size you require is not available on the day, you will be able to order it and collect it within 10-14 days. Alternatively you can contact Intersport by telephone on 01302 556055 to pre-order your kit and check what is available
The rest of the kit must be plain Navy blue and you can buy this from anywhere or also have the option to also purchase this from Intersport, all these items are high quality and have a Danum logo embroidered on.
