Sixth Form

 

Danum’s Sixth Form of approximately 500 students is unique amongst Doncaster schools in that well over half of these students have chosen to come to us from other schools in the area. The student mix that this offers enhances the appeal of Danum’s Sixth Form for those already in the school and those who transfer. Other reasons students give for making Danum their choice are evident in entry and exit polls and reflect the Sixth Form’s strengths:

• The wide range of courses o­n offer. WE deliver AS and A2 courses in 30 subjects, and a range of specialist vocational courses at Level 2 and Level 3.
  
• A reputation for academic success with an enviable record of placing students in higher and further education o­n a diversity of courses and in both traditional institutions including Oxford and Cambridge and in the newer universities.
  
• A supportive environment. Many students comment o­n the helpful and friendly approach of the teachers and the support they give to students.
  
• A ‘buzzing’ atmosphere. Much of this is created by student involvement in the enrichment activities that the Sixth Form offers.
